Race Edition Mojo Spotted Testing; Will it Get More Power?

The first motorcycle to receive a facelift before launch, the motorcycle which has taken over five years to go into production and the most interesting of Mahindra’s product yet – Mojo has been snapped testing yet again! This time the 300cc motorcycle has been spied in its racing special red and white livery which was showcased at the Auto Expo last year.

Mahindra Mojo Race EditionThis Mojo spotted by an IndianCarsBikes reader sports an almost identical look as the Show model with a half red and half white coloured fuel tank and a matching paint scheme on the radiator shroud. What it is missing out is the underbelly engine guard which will definitely go into the production model considering the visible ugly bent exhaust pipes on this mule.

The upright seating posture of the test rider looks to be pretty comfortable and we may be up for an interesting tourer in the making…

Generally, special editions, if they are just paint differences do not require anything extra unless there are some mechanical changes. So the question is – Is Mahindra planning to offer some more juice on this special Race Edition Mojo, justifying its name? Let us hope so…

In terms of specifications, Mahindra is expected to continue with the same 292cc fuel injected engine and according to our last update, the regular version may get a power bump to about 28 bhp. Apart from that it gets upside down front forks and Pirelli Diablo Rosso II tyres and a lot of other gadgetry. Let us now just wish Mahindra launches it up finally…
