Leaked Pulsar NS400 spy pics have created quite an interesting hype in the market. We could be looking at one of the most aggressively priced 400 in India…
The cat’s out of the bag! Finally, just ahead of its launch the upcoming Pulsar NS400 has been busted and we must give it to Bajaj for keeping it a secret till now!
A set of spy pics of the NS400 have emerged on the internet that reveal the naked from the front and sides. As expected, the motorcycle carries an aggressive looking headlamp that has a single projector headlamp – similar to the Pulsar N series, apart from big lightening-like DRLs – inspired from the new NS200.
What amps up the style quotient are those chunky golden colored upside-down front forks and a fat front tyre that looks to be a 110 mm unit. Talking about tyres, the rear also looks to be a 150 mm unit – a set-up similar to the Dominar 400 – the flagship model on which this Pulsar is based.
Since we have brought the Dom to the equation, this clearly appears to be the same 373cc motor – as expected. Power and torque output are expected to be around a similar ballpark of 40 PS and 35 Nm as well. However, I expect a fairly big change to the tuning of the NS400 – and it should be quicker in the initial and mid range – catering to the Streetfighter image of the Pulsar.
Other noticeable bits are adjustable brake and clutch levers, big tank extensions and minor differences to the overall styling as compared to the NS200. Clearly, Bajaj has taken the NS family design language to the 400 as well – and it does not look remarkably different from the rest of the NS lineup.
Faired Pulsar F250 NOT Discontinued; 2024 Model Coming Up
There is a new box section swingarm against the aluminum unit of the Dominar 400. The NS400 also carries a more sensible (and shorter) wheelbase – which should offer it zestier handling. The instrumentation will definitely be borrowed from the new Pulsar range – which means expect an LCD unit – apart from Bluetooth connectivity as well as higher set of features as compared to the NS200’s unit.
Launch and price reveal is scheduled for the 3rd of May in Pune and I will get to ride it on the 5th. There will be an embargo on views till 11th May. This could be one of the most aggressively priced 400s in India. Watch out…
