Biggest Ever Pulsar (Possibly Pulsar NS400) Launch Around April, Reveals Rajiv Bajaj

(Likely) Pulsar NS400 launch within a few weeks according to the latest word from Bajaj’s top executive…

The ever so candid Raiv Bajaj was again at his best while interacting with a news channel, in which he revealed a lot of details about the company’s future plans, including the biggest question of all – what about the biggest Pulsar?

According to CNBC TV18, Rajiv Bajaj has revealed the timelines of the biggest Pulsar ever. Rajiv has said that Bajaj will launch the biggest Pulsar by the end of this year or early in the next financial year. Which means we are looking at a timeframe of March, April or May 2024.

Surprisingly, there hasn’t been a single on-road spy pic of the motorcycle yet. Leave on-road pic, there hasn’t been anything concrete on it in the open till now. And that makes us wonder about Bajaj’s preparedness of the upcoming flagship Pulsar.

I have discussed earlier that ‘Biggest ever’ could mean anything over the current 250s ie 300s, 350s, 400s or anything between these capacities. In order to create difference with the Dominar (which I assume would remain, and would remain the flagship Bajaj brand), I thought Bajaj would want to keep some kind of a gap with the 400 and instead, introduce a near 300cc Pulsar – as the biggest-ever model. This, it could have done by increasing the displacement of the 250cc motor or by reducing the engine size of the 373cc motor that it has at its disposal.

It will be interesting to see if the Pulsar NS400 will use the existing 373cc engine from the Dominar or it will get the bigger 398cc motor of the new-gen Duke…

Pulsar 220 – One Year Since Re-Launch How Is It Doing?

However, as I understand, and through the feelers that I have got, from the Husqvarna Svartpilen 401’s event (review below), Bajaj is not taking all these pains and it is, most probably, working on a 400 – and it would be the NS that we will witness. In simpler words, the upcoming biggest ever Pulsar will most likely be the Pulsar NS400 – a street fighter version on the Dominar platform.

Next question is – which 400? Will Bajaj use the older 373cc engine from the Dominar range (which is already Bajaj-ified!) or will it use the bigger 398cc engine from the new-gen 390 Duke. Well, nobody has an answer to this at this point of time and in fact, this is one of the biggest pointer I am looking forward to – in the wait for the biggest-ever Pulsar. The wait is not very long…
