So Hero is taking its XTEC treatment to all its bread and butter models. After Splendor and others, it is the Passion that has received this new variant. XTEC is basically a bouquet of connected features that enhance the usability of any product.
Passion XTEC comes with a full digital instrument cluster which also has Bluetooth connectivity. It can be paired with your smartphone and shows information like SMS, Call alerts, missed call, phone battery percentage, etc. Additionally, it has features like low-fuel indicator, realtime mileage indicator and service reminder features.
Aside all this, Passion XTEC also comes with projector LED headlamp that is definitely a segment first. Hero claims that it will provide enhanced illumination and gets a 12 percent longer beam than regular halogens. There are other features like side stand engine cut-off, side stand indicator on the console, USB charging port and rim tape.

For the higher trim, Hero is charging a premium of Rs 5170 whereas the entry drum variant is priced Rs 3770 higher. Though it hasn’t been explicitly mentioned but it appears that disc brake variant comes with CBS as standard and that may be the reason of its higher premium.
The motorcycle continues to be powered by the 110cc, motor that is good for 9 bhp of peak power at 7500 rpm and 9.79 Nm of max torque at 5000 rpm.
