Putting an end to the months of hype, Ola electric has launched its S1 and S1 Pro electric scooters in India. The S1 is priced at INR 99,999 whereas the S1 Pro costs INR 1,29,999 (excluding incentives, registration, insurance).

Ola S1 will be available for purchase starting from 8th September 2021. Deliveries will begin in October 2021 across 1000 cities in India.

The S1 and S1 pro are available in ten colors in satin, matte and glossy finishes. The scooters come with twin headlamps, ergonomic design, alloy wheels, large boot space, etc. In its segment, Ola S1 is the only one to provide cruise control but we wonder how helpful will it be. It also comes with a reverse ride mode.

As promised earlier the Ola electric scooter offers an impressive range of 181 km. It can attain 0 to 40 mph in 3 seconds and the scoot has an astonishing top speed of 115 kmph.

The Ola S1 comes with a battery capacity of 3.97 kWh and claims to have a powerful motor. The battery is flame-retardant and as well as water and dust-resistant.

The Ola S1 is equipped with Hill Hold feature that offers smooth navigation in traffic. Also, for security, it has an anti-theft system for alerting the rider and geo-fencing lock.

It also comes with battery Management System or BMS that actively monitors the performance and safety of the battery.

The riders can use the digital key feature to unlock the scooter automatically without requiring a physical key by getting near the scooter.

Once the rider moves away, the scooter will lock itself. There is a sharp and bright 7-inch touchscreen display that Ola offers on its scooters.

The new Ola S1 Electric offers three riding modes – normal, sport, and hyper. To make it sound like a conventional scooter, Ola has also provided four artificial sounds in the scooter. These are Bolt, Care, Vintage, and Wonder.
