Ola Electric Apr 2026 Sales: Road to Recovery Starts, 12,166 Units Sold

Ola Electric sales surged to 12,166 units in Apr 2026 from 10,133 units in Mar 2026 with a MoM growth of 20 percent

Ola Electric, the Bengaluru-based pure EV brand, has reported 20 percent MoM (Month-on-Month) growth in April 2026. The company sold a total of 12,166 units last month, up from 10,133 units in March 2026, according to the data available on VAHAN portal. Ola claimed that it outperformed the electric two-wheeler industry which witnessed a MoM decline in sales by more than 22 percent. It further added that Ola Electric was the only leading electric two-wheeler brand to post MoM growth in April 2026.

An Ola Electric spokesperson said, “March marked a strong recovery for Ola Electric, and April has continued that momentum. Registrations grew 20% month-on-month even as the market declined sharply, making Ola the only leading EV two-wheeler brand to grow in April. This reflects stronger execution, stabilizing operations, and growing customer confidence. The commercialization of our indigenously developed 4680 Bharat Cells has boosted cost efficiencies, with the benefits passed on to customers. We remain focused on building this momentum and driving the next phase of EV penetration in India.”

Ola Electric stated that the rise in sales volumes indicated improved customer confidence, stabilized operations, and continued demand for its expanding EV portfolio. The electric motorcycle line-up continued to receive encouraging traction, especially in large markets such as Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and Madhya Pradesh. The company stated that the Roadster X is getting popular among the masses and emerging as a meaningful product in the electric motorcycle segment.

In addition, the brand’s 4680 Bharat Cell-powered models, due to relatively lower pricing, saw increased adoption. The range-topping Roadster X+ 9.1 kWh, equipped with Ola’s indigenously developed 4680 Bharat Cell, comes with an IDC range of 500+ km on a single charge. It eliminates the range anxiety often faced by the customers with the longer range.

“The company believes EV adoption in India is becoming increasingly relevant amid renewed global energy security concerns and oil price volatility. As India’s largest personal mobility segment, two-wheelers offer a significant opportunity to accelerate electrification, reduce fuel dependence, and lower mobility costs for consumers,” said Ola Electric in an official statement.

Ola Electric has slipped down to fifth position in the list of India’s top 10 electric two-wheeler brands as legacy players such as TVS and Bajaj rule the roost in this industry. The company’s downfall began in early 2025 when it was dethroned from the pole position after sales volumes started dwindling. Ola Electric was India’s top electric two-wheeler brand for more than 3 years before TVS and Bajaj raced past it and grabbed the top spot.
