November 2020 sales TVS: The company’s export volumes have remained flat, while it is performing exceptionally well in the domestic market.
TVS Motor Company is arguably one of the most aggressive manufacturers in the country at the moment. For the past few years, the company has been doing exceedingly well, and this has shown in its growing sales numbers as well. It has beaten Bajaj and is now the third largest maker in the country for the last many months.
It has forged a strategic partnership with BMW Motorrad to produce premium products (read Apache RR310) and its Apache series of motorcycles have proven themselves as mighty contenders against the very established Pulsars.
In the latest sales numbers for November 2020, TVS has reported an impressive overall two-wheeler YoY growth of 25%. It recorded 311,519 units in November 2020, compared to 249,350 units in the same period of 2019.

In the domestic market, TVS reported 30% YoY growth by selling 247,789 units during the last month, against 191,222 units it managed last year. Out of the 247,789 units, motorcycles constituted 133,531 units (against 105,963 last year, with 26% growth) and scooters made 106,196 units (against 84,169 units in 2019, 26% growth).

In terms of exports, the company registered a 10% YoY growth, as it sold 63,730 units in November 2020, compared to 58,128 units during the last year. The company shares that the exports were hit due to the unavailability of containers and the operations at Chennai port getting impacted due to cyclone Nivar during the last week of November 2020.
