Despite being a sporty looking scooter, TVS Wego has not really been a mass seller for the company. For a long time, TVS has not been paying much heed to it and it appeared that it may be discontinued from the market. But that will not be the case. Ahead of the festive season, TVS has launched the 2019 Wego Refresh in India.
New Wego Changes
It comes with the following features & changes
- Sporty seat
- 20-liter utility box
- pass-by switch
- maintenance free battery
- wheel-rim stickers
Wego is targeted at the younger audience and comes with something called as body balance technology and full metal body. It continues to be powered by the same 109.7 cc 4-stroke engine of Jupiter and produces 8 PS of peak power at 7500 rpm and 8.4 Nm of max torque at 5500 rpm.

The outgoing Wego was priced at Rs 52,127 which means TVS is charging a premium of Rs 900 for all the newly added features and colours.
Will this be TVS’ Flagship 150cc Scoot?
Talking about colours – the new Wego is offered in four fresh colours – Red, Blue, Grey and Black. TVS will be hoping for a turnaround in sales with the latest update as Wego currently only sells about 3000-4000 units a month.
