Breaking: New Pulsar N150 Launched at 1.18 Lac; Only 900 Costlier Than P150

New Pulsar N150 price is very close to Pulsar P150 and in a way it gets the sportier N160 treatment on the P150 platform…

We all know that the 150cc segment has broadly gotten divided into two sub-segments – the 150cc that has sporty commuters and the 160cc that has motorcycles with sportier intents. From the newest-generation models, Bajaj already has the Pulsar N160 in the sporty segment and the P150 in the commuter segment – both of which we have ridden earlier and their reviews are live on BikeAdvice Youtube.

The problem, however, is that the Pulsar P150 hasn’t worked for Bajaj whereas the N160 has seen some fairly good traction in the market. This has compelled Bajaj to launch another model – Pulsar N150 in the country – which takes the positive attributes from the P150 and the sporty intents from the N160 – to form a model that can cater to a family man who likes to have certain sporty characteristics in his motorcycle.

The new Pulsar N150 carries the segment-first projector headlamp that is exposed and gives it an aggressive stance. The overall styling has been carried over from the sportier N160, however, to retain utility, Bajaj has given the smaller N150 a unibody seat (instead of the split seat of the N160). It also comes with the infinity display with various features like gear indicator, distance to empty etc.

The Pulsar N150 continues with the very refined motor of the P150 and produces 14.5 PS of peak power at 8500 rpm and 13.5 Nm of max torque at 6000 rpm. It is available only in a single variant with a rod-type handlebar and single disc – only at the front – that comes with single channel ABS. The Pulsar P150 has a higher-spec variant that comes with clip-ons, split seat and twin disc – one at the front and one at the rear.
