New Karizma deliveries have been planned at the start of this festive season. It will start reaching dealerships very soon…
The Karizma has come back in style and with a strong brand recall, the motorcycle is already riding on a potential deliveries of over 13,000 units very soon. Hero commenced bookings of the new Karizma XMR on 29th August and closed the first window on 30th September. This was at the introductory price tag of Rs 1,72,900 – a strategy that I had already envisaged.
In this time frame of almost a month, as many as 13,688 customers have shown their interest in the motorcycle. That is a healthy number and much much better than the debacle of 2014 Karizmas, when it was doing almost double digit sales every month.
Now, when the motorcycle has got the initial traction, Hero has raised the prices by Rs 7000. So, for the second booking window (that will open soon), the Karizma will be available at Rs 1,79,900.
SPIED: Is Hero Testing New Xpulse 210 With Karizma Engine?
Hero informs that dispatches of the full faired motorcycle to dealerships have commenced and the first set of buyers will start receiving their keys beginning the festive period, later this month.
Unlike the older model, the new Karizma comes with a short stroke engine – however, the DOHC unit now produces segment-best power – even higher than KTM RC200. Key features of the motorcycle include intelligent illumination headlamp, turn-by-turn navigation and adjustable windshield – apart from slip and assist clutch and dual channel ABS.
