Naked TVS Apache 310 launch will be an international event and TVS intends to project the new motorcycle as a global product…
In a few hours from now, TVS Motor is about to launch probably its most important motorcycle in the portfolio – the naked Apache 310. I believe it is an even more important product than the full faired (and already brilliant) Apache RR 310 simply because of wider acceptance and more versatility of this format.
And that clearly is one of the bigger reasons why the Chennai based maker is conducting the launch as well as its first media ride in the city of Bangkok, Thailand. Aside that, TVS also intends to further its go-global approach and showcase the naked Apache that can be a wonderful motorcycle for a lot of markets across the world – like for instance, Thailand!
TVS will, anyway, gain India’s eyeballs with its biggest product but an introduction in another country will also compel international audience to have a look – specially nations where TVS is likely to ship this motorcycle to, probably soon.
There is a full video teaser of the naked Apache 310 that TVS was playing on the W Hotel’s front wall, bang in the heart of the capital of Thailand. Here it is…
I see that bikers in Bangkok buy Ninjas, CBRs and other sporty motorcycles and the commuter segment here is fulfiled by step-throughs and scooters – unlike India where commuter motorcycles form the largest pie of the market. So rather than the smaller Apaches, this 310 Apache can be its best bet and if not, at least the TVS brand will start coming in the reckoning.
