The Italian high performance motorcycle brand, Moto Guzzi has made its Indian debut with its first showroom/dealership at Gurgaon. The dealership name is Northwards Motors and this Moto Guzzi dealership is also the second dealership of Aprilia in India. The first dealership is located in Pune. It’s known that both Aprilia and Moto Guzzi are owned by Piaggio and the company has decided that the Aprilia dealership at Gurgaon will be sharing space with the Moto Guzzi brand as well. The dealership is already functional and currently a service center is under construction. The service center is located close to the dealership and is expected to go operational within a month.
However the dealership has already started accepted bookings for Moto Guzzi motorcycles. Currently the Griso 1200 8V is open for booking. The Griso 1200 8V is powered by a four-stroke, V-twin, 1151cc engine that produces 110 BHP of power. This engine is mated to a six speed gearbox. Moto Guzzi is however yet to unveil its motorcycle offering line-up for the Indian market which we expect the company will release in the first half of 2013. Moto Guzzi has some fine motorcycles in its product stable and we hope Piaggio brings them to the Indian market very soon. The 2013 year is already looking very promising for the biking enthusiasts.
