It took Mahindra 5 years to launch the Mojo but now that the bike has finally started finding a foot in the market, they are raring to go ahead! At the Auto Expo the manufacturer has showcased two new concept models, an Adventure and a Scrambler. They also used the platform to launch the Mojo Tribe which is an exclusive club for Mojo owners.
Aiming to bring together a brotherhood of people, the Mojo Tribe will see like minded people join with the spirit of riding. A mobile application to share experiences and connect with fellow tribesmen was also launched.
Now let us take a quick look at both the versions individually…
Mojo Adventure:
The bike metamorphoses to a hardcore adventure enthusiast from the slick tarmac eater. Those knobby wheels have a ‘go anywhere’ attitude screaming from it while different size (bigger front and smaller rear) spoke wheels should be a boon. It continues to sport upside down front forks with huge travel and loses one exhaust. The customised head lamp console gets two lamps stacked over one another.
Thanks to bigger tyres the ground clearance has significantly increased but we believe an engine guard could be added. The hand guard and the simple rounded rear view mirrors with customised saddle bags and jerry cans for petrol/water is also a great addition for long rides.
Mojo Scrambler:
If the production tourer and the Adventure is not your thing, Mahindra has another alternate for you – a classical Scrambler. This one too misses out on the dual exhaust setup but gets a big rounded head lamp and those flat leather bench type seats look premium followed by LED tail lamps which are barely visible (yes, it looks a little incomplete when viewed from the back)!
The rear view mirrors have been positioned at the tip of the handle bar in a retro fashion. The alloy wheels continue to sport the same Pirelli Diablo Rosso tyres.
