Great news! Potential mid-size Aprilia motorcycle test mule has been spotted testing in India however there is no concrete evidence yet…!
Well, well! A completely camouflaged, very mysterious motorcycle has been snapped testing near Baramati in Maharashtra. And frankly there are zilch clues on what this could be. But let us try to join whatever dots we have…
Since it has been snapped around Baramati, this is touted to be an Aprilia product (since parent brand Piaggio has its plant here). If we continue on the same lines we see that this mule’s headlamp has a resemblance with the RS660 that was launched in India at an astronomical price tag of over Rs 13 lakh in 2021.
So does this mean that Aprilia is preparing an entry level or mid-sized motorcycle for India? Yes, this could be a possibility and if we are reading it right, this could mean fireworks for motorcycle fans here.
FEATURED: Many 800cc+ Motorcycles on Offer, But How Many Sell in India…?
Aside this we can notice a single large disc at the front with 6-7 spoke alloy wheels and a fairly upright seating posture – suggesting that the company is targeting the mid-cpacity sports touring market with this one.
This is probably the first time such a sporty motorcycle from Aprilia (if it indeed is one) has been snapped in India and comes after many earlier promises that an India specific mid-sizer is under works. Capacity, features and no other details can be ascertained at this point but this has to be one of the biggest development for the 300-600cc motorcycle segment – if it is made in India!
