The Lean Quality Circle concept is about efficiency and quality. “Doing More with Less” is the principle adopted by Quality Circles in companies to optimize processes using available resources.

The idea of Quality Circle was first introduced in post-war Japan to address the issues related to business processes.

The Quality Circle Forum of India (QCFI), which came into existence in 1982, is a not-for-profit organization imparting training in quality management and recognizing organizations which work towards improving the quality of their products and services.

Mr. Nirmal Matharu, Senior Vice President & Plant Head, Mahindra Two Wheelers received the award on behalf of Team Mahindra. As of now, Mahindra Two Wheelers have 5 scooters and 2 motorcycles in its portfolio and we might see another motorbike from them in the very near future. No doubt the benefits of participating in the FIM MotoGP World Motorcycle Racing Championship are rubbing on to the production and quality assurance processes on the Mahindra factory floor.

Good for us bike lovers!

The next major event from QCFI will be the national level competition at Kolkata where the winning teams from different states in various categories would be participating. The event is slated for December this year.
