Lockdown: Yamaha & Honda Also Announce Service & Warranty Extensions

Both Yamaha and Honda are offering service extension of two months in the wake of the current 21 day lockdown imposed by the Central Government to prevent the spread of the contagious Coronavirus.

Yesterday, TVS set a precedence and offered a relaxation to its customers in services and warranties. And today, Yamaha and Honda have also announced that they are extending due dates of services of their two-wheelers for their customers in the country. Here are specific details…

Yamaha Service Extension

Yamaha is offering a relaxation of upto 60 days to all its customers who are expiring their warranties or services during this period.

  • Free Services – For customers with free services expiring between 15 March to 15 April, there is an extension till June 2020.
  • Regular Warranty – For standard warranties expiring between 15 March to 15 April, there will be a relaxation till June 2020.
  • Extended warranties expiring between 15 March to 15 April will also be extended till June 2020.
  • AMC – Annual Maintenance Contracts expiring between 15 March to 15 April will also be extended till June 2020.

Yamaha says it has informed all its dealerships to pass on these benefits to the customers after the lockdown period.

Honda Service Extension

Honda has also taken the same period between 15 March till 15 April and it has extended free services, regular warranty and extended warranty by two months. It also informed that its call centers are not working during the lockdown period.
