Leaked Pic of Honda’s Speculated Entry Level Motorcycle is Nothing But Pakistan’s CG Dream

A few days back, automobile website MotorBeam shared a leaked pic of what is claimed to be the entry level bare-basic motorcycle from Honda which can fight with the CD Dawns and CD Deluxes of Hero. And in an interesting update, one of our avid reader has alerted us that the bike in the spy pic is nothing but the CG Dream sold by Atlas Honda in Pakistan.

So, if the leaked pic shared here is indeed the motorcycle that is destined for India, this is how it looks!

Atlas Honda CG Dream

The bike is as basic as a sub Rs 40,000 (expected starting price tag) motorcycle could be, however, it looks more premium than Hero’s CD Dawn and Deluxe which sell in hoards!

It runs on cycle-like starved tyres, gets a bikini fairing, nice wide seat, a body with side and rear cowls and chrome silencer heat shield. We dislike those blackened parts on the engine!

While we could not get the engine displacement of CG Dream of Pakistan, here in India, there are all the chances that the company will use the same 110 cc mill from the existing crop of Dream motorcycles, possibly in a little detuned state for differentiation. This will provide them economies of scale.

CG Dream gets a tiny 9.2 litre fuel tank and has a ground clearance of 135 mm. It weighs just 99 kgs (dry) and comes with a 4 speed constant mesh transmission. No matter how basic it may appear, but this will be a worthy rival to all the entry level motorcycles we have in our country. So, if Honda is indeed launching this motorcycle in India, Hero would be the worst affected!
