A faired supersport motorcycle with 44bhp of power from a 373.2cc mill, a light weight body, a beautifully decorated orange trellis frame; add to that a pair of super sticky Metzelers. Yes, we are talking about one of the most spied and most awaited motorcycle in the country, the KTM RC390.
As everyone awaits its launch clueless about its delay, a new report published at Bikewale.com speculates that KTM may launch it around September this year.
Being a faired version of the hugely popular and highly capable Duke390, the RC390 will surely be the most favorite motorcycle for all the track lovers. Interestingly, the Bajaj-KTM alliance will launch this motorcycle in India before it is exported to the rest of the world from the Chakan plant in Pune.
The flagship RC8 sits at the top of the RC Series of motorcycles and includes RC390, RC200 as well as the RC 125 (which is not going to be launched in India like the Duke 125). Apart from the RC390, smaller sibling RC200 will also be launched in India most probably this year after a long agonizing wait.
We also believe the Bajaj will surely launch their Pulsar 200SS before the RC390 which means, if this report goes true, the first faired Pulsar from Bajaj may come earlier!
Indian made RC125, RC200 and RC390 will be exported to KTM’s other international markets as well. Looking at the attractive sticker price of the Duke series, the RC series, specially the RC390 can also be expected to be equally aggressively priced. According to what we understand, KTM RC390 may cost somewhere around Rs 2.4 Lacs.
