And what if we reveal that they are coming to our shores very soon! That KTM has officially teased “coming soon to India” at its official Indian website a few weeks back raised the pulses racing (more details) and now, we at BikeAdvice, can confirm that KTM Bajaj has officially started road testing them for India, in India.

One of our reader spotted a camouflaged mule just about to enter Bajaj’s plant in Pune. Being hidden, it was obviously not clear whether it was the RC200 or the RC390 that was roaming about. Nonetheless, since both of them are coming to our markets, it doesn’t matter which one was spotted. However, since our reader was riding on his bike and was caught unawares, he could not snap it up.

KTM RC200/RC390 Indian Launch

Early in 2013, when Duke 390 was not launched in India, KTM has shared an official press release which announced that the company will launch an RC8 inspired small displacement supersports bike in early 2014. It was later known that KTM was talking about the RC series.

And hence we expect the launch to happen within a couple of months after its Auto Expo unveiling in February.

For the records, the RC200 carries the same 200cc engine from the Duke 200 and has 25 horses on offer and tips the scale at 137kgs. The RC390 shares its engines with the bigger Duke 390 and produces 43hp of power and weighs 147kgs.

Since, it is confirmed that the KTM RCs are now on the roads testing, it is just a matter of a few days when we hear about its official launch period. And hence the question –

How many of you Duke 200/Duke 390 owners will trade your motorcycles for these faired beauties?
