KTM India has increased the price of its multiple bikes such as the RC 200, RC 390, 250 Duke and 390 Duke in the domestic market.
KTM India has hiked the price of its bikes in the country. The reason behind the increase in price is still unclear but according to sources, it is to offset the rising input costs. The price hike announced by KTM is applicable on multiple models such as 390 Duke, 250 Duke, RC 390 and RC 200. Recently, KTM’s arch rivals in India such as Ducati and BMW Motorrad also raised the price of their motorcycles due to sky-rocketing production costs and commodity prices. In this piece, we will do a model wise analysis of the price hike in the KTM portfolio.
To begin with, the KTM 390 Duke price has been increased by Rs 1000. It will now be retailed at Rs 2.96 lakh as compared to the earlier price of Rs 2.95 lakh. Earlier, the motorcycle had a sticker price of Rs 3.13 lakh but the company had reduced it by Rs 18,000, hence bringing it down to Rs 2.95 lakh. All the aforementioned prices are ex-showroom, Delhi.
A couple of months back, KTM 390 Duke was updated with a first-in-segment cruise control feature. The bike is available in three colour options namely Ebony Black, Atlantic Blue and Electronic Orange. It is powered by a 399cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine which generates max power of 45.3 bhp at 8500 rpm and peak torque of 39 Nm at 6500 rpm.

Coming to the KTM 250 Duke and RC 390, the duo will now cost Rs 5000 more than before. While the Duke 250 will be sold at Rs 2.30 lakh, KTM RC 390 will be available at Rs 3.23 lakh. These bikes were earlier priced at Rs 2.25 lakh and Rs 3.18 lakh, respectively. All the aforementioned prices are ex-showroom, Delhi.
KTM RC 390 is equipped with a 373cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine which belts out top power of 42.9 bhp at 9000 rpm and highest torque of 37 Nm at 7000. The bike comes in two colourways: Blue and Orange. On the other hand, KTM 250 Duke is offered with a 249cc single-pot powertrain which delivers 30.5 bhp at 9250 rpm and 25 Nm at 7250 rpm. It can be availed in three paint schemes namely Ebony Black, Atlantic Blue and Electronic Orange.

Last but not the least, the KTM RC 200 gets the highest price hike of Rs 12,000 among all the motorcycles in the KTM portfolio. It is now priced at Rs 2.33 lakh against its earlier price of Rs 2.21 lakh. Powering the bike is the 199.5cc DOHC FI petrol engine with power and torque of 24.6 bhp at 10000 rpm and 19.2 Nm at 8000 rpm, respectively. It can be purchased in two colour choices namely Black and Blue.
