KTM has dropped in a big surprise in the form of the new 390 Adventure X. It is the entry level model in the 390 Adventure series and undercuts the standard 390 Adventure by a whopping Rs 58,000!! It is obvious that it will miss many premium features in the process. So, let us quickly list all what is not in the feature list now – and what is still a part of the package.
390 Adventure X Feature Deletions
Here are the five important features the new X misses…
- Ride Modes
- Cornering ABS
- Traction Control
- Quick Shifter
In addition, the TFT display is also gone and with it the Bluetooth pairability is also not on offer.
Let us quickly list what is still on offer..
390 Adventure X Features
- Dual Channel ABS (with off-road mode)
- Slipper Clutch
- 12 V USB socket
- All-LED Lighting
- 43mm WP upside-down front forks and WP rear monoshock
And obviously the peppy 373cc, single cylinder 43.5 PS, 37 Nm has been retained
In place of the TFT display of the standard 390 Adventure, the X comes with an LCD console.
Not only does the X offer a phenomenal bang for the buck and is a perfect ADV for people not wanting a lot of electronic intrusion, it is now the most affordable 390 in the portfolio – Yes, it even undercuts the 390 Duke as well by almost Rs 16,000. It is also a whole lot cheaper than arch-rival BMW G310 GS!
Does that make the cut…?
