Ahead of Launch 390 ADV Spotted Again

KTM 390 Adventure spy pics so far suggest that the motorcycle will be road-biased…

The next big motorcycle launch of the year, without a doubt, is the KTM 390 Adventure. The Austrian may break its tradition of unveiling its all-new models at EICMA or similar high-voltage auto shows followed by their launches few months later.

390 Adventure was snapped for the first time in India late last year. Since then there have been a few spottings of the mid-size ADV and it has again been spied, in all camouflage, somewhere around Pune (credit – Thrustzone).

This test mule runs on alloy wheels and spokes are not to be seen yet. There are spaces for hooking your saddle bags and top boxes. Also notice that the seat is fairly long and there is a lot of space left behind the rider. Which means that we may finally get a KTM which could be rider/pillion-friendly.

The 390 Adventure gets an extended frame and a slightly longer body than the 390 Duke. It will come with a larger 19 inch front tyre (paired with a 17 incher at the rear). True to its ADV credentials, the 390 Adventure will get long travel suspension, knobby tyres and an upright seating posture for your long distance excursions.

A report few weeks back predicted that we will have some official announcement regarding the 390 ADV sometime in March but we are in the final leg of the month and there has been nothing concrete from the brand.
