Kinetic LUNA is Back; Price Revealed

Kinetic Luna price and specs have been revealed through e-commerce websites. Bookings have opened and the nameplate has come back…

A nostalgic name of the yesteryears, Kinetic is bringing its Luna nameplate back in the market. The difference this time, though, is that it will be electric-powered!

Kinetic has officially announced the return of the Luna and it will be powered by a 2kWh battery that will have a claimed range of 110 km (unofficial number). It will take you around 4 hours to charge the battery fully. The e-Luna will get propelled by a 2kW motor and will have a top speed of around 50 km.

Another change is that there will be no pedals this time and you need not push the moped in case you need more power or range. However, though rudimentary, addition of pedals could have been an interesting move specially for very basic electric 2-wheeler commuters, like the Luna.

The overall 2-wheeler is very basic and comes with drum brakes at both ends, 16 inch spoke wheels along with tube type tyres. The e-Luna weighs just 96 kilos which should make it an easy to handle product.

The moped has been priced at Rs 74,990 ex-showroom on online e-commerce websites. It does not have any direct competition in electric mopeds, however, it will be a worthy alternate against the TVS XL100 (which is petrol powered).

Bookings are open at a payment of Rs 500 and there are two colors on offer – Ocean Blue and Mulberry Red.
