In order to bring its Chetak at par with the competition, Bajaj has updated its Chetak in the Indian market. Both the Premium as well as Urbane variants have been launched and it is the Premium trim that has received majority of the changes. Here let me list them up for you…
2024 Chetak Changes
1 – Battery & Range – First up the battery capacity of the Premium trim has gone up from 2.88 kWh to 3.2 kWh. This has naturally increased the ARAI certified range to 127 km (Urbane gets a range of 113 km). Charging times have also increased and it will take 4 hours 30 minutes to completely juice up the battery from naught.
2 – Performance – Bajaj also claims that the performance of the scooter has been bettered. The 2024 Chetak Premium we well as Urbane can do top speeds of 73 kph.
3 – TFT Display – You also now get a 5 inch colored TFT display on the Premium Chetak.
4 – TecPac – Bajaj has also introduced a new package of tech that you can purchase additionally to unlock the full potential of the scooter. It is optional and costs Rs 9000 and is available for both the Premium as well as Urbane variant. You get Turn-by-Turn navigation, Hill-hold mode, music control, call alerts and various personalisation options with this pack. Bajaj has also said that this bouquet of features will keep on evolving in the coming times.
5 – Price – Here are the prices of the 2024 Chetak line-up

The price of the scooter has gone up by upto Rs 15,000.
The Urbane variant is available in Coarse Grey, Cyber White, Brooklyn Black and Indigo Metallic Blue colours whereas the Premium trim can be had in Hazelnut, Indigo Metallic Blue, and Brooklyn Black colours.
Additionally, the Chetak Premium comes with an 800 watt charger that, Bajaj claims, gives a range of 15.6 km in 30 minutes of quick charge.

You also get features like sequential side blinkers that also self-cancel, electronic handle and steering lock. The Chetak Premium also comes with a larger boot space. The scooter continues with the same styling and metal body.
