BIG: Kawasaki ZX25R or ZX4R India Launch Very Soon; Teased

(ZX25R or) Kawasaki ZX4R launch in India in the coming few days as the company has released a teaser on its social media…

We have been witnessing and envying the Indonesian motorcycle market for the last few years as it got two of the most interesting motorcycles that have been launched in the last decade in the world – the ZX-4R and the ZX-25R.

Nobody generally makes four cylinder smaller capacity motorcycles – but Kawasaki dares! It introduced not one but two under 500cc motorcycles with pistons smashing down those four cylinders. All of this at a time when the world believes that we are moving to alternate fuel vehicles and internal combustion engines may die a natural death. Our salute to Kawasaki for showing this courage!

Now, the problem is the high price associated with an in-line four cylinder configuration and both these motorcycles cost a lot. And hence, nobody expected them to be introduced in India. However, it’s happening guys.. its happening! Kawasaki has teased the inline-4 configuration on its social media with a caption ‘Coming Soon‘. So, it is either the ZX-25R that we are getting soon or it will be the bigger 4R! In my opinion, it will most likely be the ZX4R that is coming.

Despite being only 399cc, the ZX4R produces whopping 80 PS of peak power and it can scream all the way till 15,000 rpm! Max torque is 36 Nm at 11,000 rpm. And that motor just need to pull 188 kilos of kerb weight of the motorcycle.

In terms of features, it has Assist & Slipper clutch, traction control, Quick shifter and four ride modes – Sport, Road, Rain and Rider. And then there is that instrument cluster with smartphone pairability and related features.

But since these are very high-spec, exclusive motorcycles, expect them to come at a premium and most likely they will be introduced here as CBU’s further attracting insane taxation. So, eventual landing prices will be high to very high but they should offer a completely different experience! Excited…?
