160 kph | 17000 Rpm | 5th Gear – Ninja ZX25R Video Teaser Released

Some Ninja ZX25R performance numbers have surfaced through a video released by Kawasaki and it’s a stonker in the making…

Kawasaki is preparing to jolt the quarter liter segment in the world with its upcoming Ninja ZX-25R! The motorcycle is ready and Indonesia is one market which is getting it very soon.

To build up the excitement, Kawasaki has started its pre-launch buzz and a part of the package is this first video that the brand has released on its social channels.

The footage features two spanking new Ninja ZX25Rs being ridden at the Jerez Circuit in Spain by World Superbike Champion Jonathan Rea and co-racer Alex Lowes. The two bikers start by applauding the beauty of the machine and then take it for a spin at the 4.428 kilometer long circuit.

In one of the straights the motorcycle is seen doing speeds of 160 kph in 5th gear with the tachometer needle hovering around that 17,000 rpm mark. The rider shifts to 6th gear and the speedo rises to 162 kph definitely with a lot more juice left to be extracted.

The speedo of the ZX25R redlines at 17,000 rpm and for reference, the twin-cylinder Ninja 300 in India redlines at 13,000 rpm; not to forget the maddening scream of an inline four at redline!
