The Japanese motorcycle major Kawasaki may be working on a new naked motorcycle which will make you smile from ear to ear. A rumor on a British website MoreBikes claims that Kawasaki is planning a bigger ER-7n, which may or may not replace the existing ER-6n (sold in India at under 5 Lakhs ex-showroom)!
The current ER-6n is powered by a liquid cooled 649 cc parallel twin mill producing 72.1 PS of maximum power at 8,500 rpm and 64 Nm of peak torque at 7,000 rpm. As per the report the ER-7n is rumored to get a new bigger 700cc parallel twin DOHC motor.
With a 50 cc gain, we do not expect a world of change but a little more zest will definitely be a welcome addition to the already impressive mid-sizer! A similar recent report hinted that Triumph may also be working on a bigger 800cc Street Triple (read more).
The speculative rendering pic of the motorcycle above hints that the paint scheme may be inspired from the maniac Kawasaki Ninja H2, which according to us, may not go well, with its relatively smaller dimensions…
