Jawa sales September 2020 witnessed a major increment. Though the tally remained unchanged but it closed the gap with the next maker…
Indian two-wheeler market has remained one of the most competitive ones in the recent years but the standings have remained more or less unchanged. In 2018, we saw the return of the iconic Jawa brand which was brought to us by Mahindra under Classic Legends umbrella.
Quite obviously, there was a lot of hype that got developed and natural comparisons with Royal Enfield as it was the first full-blown rival against the Chennai based maker. Obviously, it will take the brand many years before we can even count it as even a teeny weeny bit of trouble for RE but the opening has been fairly decent.
In the month of September 2020, Jawa registered sales of 2121 units which is a remarkable increment of 42 percent (or 629 units) over its last year’s numbers for the same month. Even in month-on-month numbers, it witnessed a major growth of over 56 percent with an increment of 768 units.
It must be noted that these are not factory dispatch numbers and in fact, these are actual vehicle registration figures for respective months. It includes sales from all over India leaving only the four states of AP, LD, MP and TS as these are not on Vahan 4 yet.
