Indian Motorcycle with their premium range of products have added a new motorcycle to its line-up in the country. The Roadmaster, their flagship model in the international market, which they showcased back in July 2014 ahead of the Sturgis Rally, is centred to be the ultimate in terms of comfort and convenience. Well, carrying a price tag of Rs 37 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi), it has to offer the world and possibly a wee bit more….! Interestingly, the bike has suddenly cropped up on their website which does confirm our exclusive report we carried out in October 2014 (here).
The Roadmaster attempts to bring back the glory of Indian Motorcycle in the Second Great War era with a modern touch. The Thunder Stroke 111 engine produces 138.9 Nm of raw torque every ounce of which will be required to move this gargantuan motorcycle which weighs a massive 421 kilograms wet.
The bike gets a horizontal power windshield which can be adjusted at the touch of a button and has been customized to streamline the air flow and thus protect the rider.
The dollops of chrome is contrasted with desert tan beautiful leather, which is the signature theme used by the US based manufacturer. The bike also has proper guards for your legs to protect them from the wind blast. It also comes with tons of weather proof storage space which totals to 140 liters in the form of saddlebags and trunk. In addition, you don’t just get adjustable foot pegs but also heated seats (with two settings) and heated grips on the handle bar (with ten level adjustments!!!).
The Roadster is offered in three colour options:
- Black
- Red
- Red Ivory Cream (Dual Tone)
We tested the Chief Vintage recently and let us tell you it is a marvel! You can read our detailed review here!
