Back in 2013, TVS Motor Company and BMW Motorrad joined hands to produce motorcycles below 500cc which were to be consumed in the domestic as well as the global markets. So far, there have been three products that have been developed – TVS’s own Apache RR 310, BMW G310R and G310 GS. All of them are manufactured at TVS’ Hosur production plant.
TVS has achieved the big milestone of shipping 1 Lakh BMW 310s and this has come in less than three years which corresponds to an impressive average of around 1700 units every month.
Within a few years, TVS now produces 10 percent of BMW Motorrad’s volumes sold in the global market. The BMW G310 R and G310 GS are currently being sold in as many as 120 countries.

At the event of the roll out of the 1,00,000th unit of G310, KN Radhakrishnan and Rainer Baumel, Product Head of 1 and 2-cylinder bikes for BMW Motorrad were present.
The TVS CEO said that they are proud of the 8-year partnership and look forward to continuing it for times to come. Recently, both BMW and TVS updated their 310s in the Indian market with new colors and few fresh features.
