The Hooligan Duke 390 is Already 1500 Bookings Strong!

KTM had launched the 390 Duke on June 25. Since day one it has been a killer proposition. Needless to say, KTM has a very strong brand appeal amongst Indian buyers. The 200 Duke sold like hot cakes. So, when the 390 Duke spec sheet was out, people were hoping an equally steep price tag.

But, when our very own Bajaj revealed the mouth watering price tag of Rs. 1,80,000, it was all the more reason for biking enthusiasts to rejoice. If there was a definition of naked brutality, this is it.

Crossing the 1,500 unit bookings mark in less than 2 months is no mean feat!

The bike is an absolute hoot to ride in the city. For those who love the highways, there is a revised gearbox with a taller gearing.
What you get for the price deserves a mention as well. The 390 is powered by a 373cc single-cylinder fuel injected four-stroke engine that develops a healthy 44PS of power at 7,250 RPM and 35NM of torque at 9,500 RPM.

A close-ratio 6-speed gearbox lays all that power on the road. Like the 200 Duke, the 390 is touted to be the first choice of all performance afficinadoes across the country triumphing over the CBRs of our worlds. With a dry weight of just 139 kg, it makes for an equally insane power-to-weight ratio of 316.5 PS/tonne.

Bajaj has announced that it will start the deliveries in September.
