For the 2022 Season, Honda Racing India have announced their riders’-squad for this year’s Indian National Motorcycle Racing Championship (INMRC) along with IDEMITSU Honda India Talent Cup scheduled at Kari Motor Speedway in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu.

Honda Racing’s Squad For 2022 INMRC & IDEMITSU Honda India Talent Cup

The 2022 Edition of MRF MMSC FMSCI Indian National Motorcycle Racing Championship (INMRC) will be held over 5-rounds and will be contested by a line-up of 3-riders representing two satellite teams from Honda in the Pro-Stock 165cc (PS165) category. These chosen riders will be competing on Honda CBR150R and are aiming to secure top positions in the championship.

Alongside the national championship, 2022 INMRC will also play host to the IDEMITSU Honda India Talent Cup. Honda explains that the Honda India Talent Cup is a ‘platform to develop and nurture India’s next-gen riders for international championships’

The 2022 season of NSF250R cup will witness 11 young riders willing to prove their might on Honda’s Moto3 race machine platform – NSF250R. Their first step leading to the Moto3 machine will be the CBR150R category of the talent cup with 9 riders, including the youngest rider being only 12 years of age. 

Speaking on the upcoming 2022 racing season, Mr. Prabhu Nagaraj (Operating Officer – Brand & Communication, HMSI) said –

“Fuelled with motivation and excitement, we are ready for the 2022 season of Indian National Motorcycle Racing Championship. This time, we are here with our three expert riders: Rajiv Sethu, Senthil Kumar and Abhishek V who are vying for titles in PS165cc of national championship. Parallely, 20 the young guns will exude fresh energy and enthusiasm of setting foot on the racetrack with IDEMITSU Honda India Talent Cup. Racing being an integral part of Honda’s DNA, we are happy to make motorsports accessible to our customers with Honda Hornet 2.0 One Make race. With an impressive line-up and our expert team, we are confident that the 2022 season will bring us laurels.”

Furthermore, In order to take the racing environment to the next level,  Honda will be hosting the ‘Honda Hornet 2.0 One Make Race’

This competition will be spread over 5-rounds again where each round will provide an opportunity to 15 Honda customers from across the county to experience the thrill of racing on Honda Hornet 2.0 racing machines.
