So, finally we have the confirmation that the much awaited and delayed CBR 650F from Honda will be launched on 4th August in India.
After tons of absolutely minor cosmetic launches of commuter bikes and scooters, it appeared that the winner of the last MotoGP championship has all but forgotten about performance bikes in India.
They do not have anything between the CBR250R (which is also outdated) and the liter class motorcycles. Back at the Delhi Motor Show in February 2014 they announced an interesting roadmap including the CBR 650F but it has still not made it to the showrooms.
Honda, at the launch of Livo yesterday, finally put all speculations to rest and announced that the CBR 650F will be launched on August 4, 2015. But things are more interesting than this – they have planned a ‘high decibel event‘ called as REVFEST, and going by the hints expect showcase or launch of some more motorcycles as well, which according to Mr Keita Muramatsu, President and CEO HMSI, will add more depth to their product portfolio.
Their four cylinder CBR650F will be Honda’s biggest bike to be assembled in India. We have leaked its official specs and you can read more about it here…
The event RevFest, has a tag line ‘Unleash the Power’ and we hope this time Honda means it and bring out a line-up of performance oriented products.
BikeAdvice will be covering the event live from the venue. Keep watching this space for more…
