Consolidating its mid-size motorcycle portfolio, Honda has launched the new CBR 650R in India. CBR 650R has replaced the CBR 650F globally and it is now a more dedicated sports-spec motorcycle.

It is powered by a DOHC, 16-Valve four cylinder 649 cc inline motor capable of producing 93 bhp of peak power and 64 Nm of max torque. Focus has shifted to the higher revs and it is also a 6 kg lighter motorcycle.

Honda opened bookings of CBR 650R back in February at a pre-payment of Rs 15,000. And today they have launched it in India through a press note, which is basically the announcement of its price. They have still not divulged when will they commence its deliveries but it should be soon!
