Honda CB750 Hornet, CB1000 SP Launched in India – Details

To be sold as CBU in India, Honda CB750 Hornet and Honda CB1000 Hornet SP are priced at Rs 8.59 lakh and Rs 12.36 lakh, respectively.

Honda 2-Wheelers India has expanded its big bike portfolio with the launch of the CB750 Hornet and CB1000 Hornet SP at price points of Rs 8.59 lakh and Rs 12.36 lakh (ex-showroom, Gurugram), respectively, in the country. The bookings for the CB Hornet duo have commenced while deliveries are likely to begin from June 2025. Honda CB750 Hornet will be retailed via all the BigWing Topline and BigWing dealerships in India. On the other hand, Honda CB1000 Hornet SP will be sold exclusively through BigWing Topline showrooms in the domestic market.

Based on the ‘Aggressive X Pure’ styling concept, the CB750 Hornet and CB1000 Hornet SP feature a streetfighter design with tank shrouds and sharp bodywork. While the former will be available in two colourways namely Matte Pearl Glare White and Matte Ballistic Black Metallic, the latter will only be offered in a Matte Ballistic Black Metallic paint work with golden accents. The duo will boast of an all-LED lighting setup which includes headlamp, turn indicators and tail-lamp.

It will get Showa-sourced SFF-BPTM inverted forks at the front and a monoshock damper with Pro-Link swingarm as the rear suspension. The braking duties will be carried by dual front disc units and a single disc at the rear. A few other notable standard features onboard are 5-inch fully coloured TFT display, Honda’s RoadSync app connectivity, illuminated multi-functional switch, dual-channel ABS, and Honda Selectable Torque control.

The naked motorcycle also carries four ride modes namely Sport, Standard, Rain, and User. Mechanically, it is powered by a OBD-2B compliant 755cc twin-cylinder liquid-cooled petrol engine which generates top power of 90.5 bhp at 9500 rpm and peak torque of 75 Nm at 7250 rpm. The engine is linked to a 6-speed transmission alongside an assist & slipper clutch.

The frame is suspended by Showa-sourced SFF-BP inverted forks at the front and ÖHLINS TTX36 setup at the rear. As for braking, it is equipped with dual front disc units with 310mm Brembo radial-mount calipers and a single 240mm disc at the rear. The naked streetfighter shares most of the features with the CB750 Hornet, in addition to the bi-directional quickshifter. In fact, it is packed with five ride modes namely Sport, Standard, Rain and two custom User modes.

At the heart, the CB1000 Hornet SP features a 999cc 4-cylinder liquid-cooled petrol engine which dishes out max power of 155 bhp at 11000 rpm and highest torque of 107 Nm at 9000 rpm. The engine is connected to a 6-speed gearbox while assist & slipper clutch and dual-channel ABS come as standard features. The bike will be at loggerheads with Kawasaki Z900 and Triumph Street Triple R in India.
