After the world premiere at EICMA 2025, Hero Xpulse 421 is expected to go on sale in the Indian market by early 2026
Hero MotoCorp had teased the upcoming Xpulse 421 at the EICMA 2024 in Milan, Italy. Now, it has been learnt through sources that the ADV bike will debut in its production-ready form at the EICMA 2025 in November. To be positioned above the Xpulse 210, it will be at loggerheads with KTM 390 Adventure, Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 and the upcoming TVS Apache RTX 300 in the Indian market. Hero Xpulse 421 is expected to launch in India in early 2026 with deliveries starting in the second quarter of 2026.
Sitting on an all-new platform, Hero Xpulse 421 will get a trellis frame which will be suspended by the USD forks at front and monoshock absorbers with preload adjustment at rear. The adventure motorcycle will ride on a 21-inch front wheel to suit its off-roading character. However, it is still not confirmed whether the Xpulse 421 will come with tubeless tyres.
Hero recently filed the design trademark for the Xpulse 421 and the leaked images revealed that it will be presented with distinct styling as compared to the Xpulse 210. The ADV bike will boast of a LED headlamp upfront with a big windshield. The side profile will get cladding with huge radiator shrouds. Other notable design elements onboard will be an upswept exhaust, handlebar guards, top-box rack and underbelly pan.
It will be equipped with several modern features to match its rivals. We can expect bells and whistles like coloured TFT instrument dash with Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, riding modes and switchable dual-channel ABS. The braking duties will be performed by disc units at both ends as standard fitment.

Mechanically, Hero Xpulse 421 will be powered by an all-new 421cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled petrol engine which will generate power output in the ballpark of 35-40 bhp. Though sources tell us that the brand will specifically focus on low-end and mid-range torque to make it an ideal adventure off-roader. The engine will be paired with a 6-speed transmission.
Hero MotoCorp had recently launched four new models in the Indian market. It introduced the Xoom 125 a couple of months back while the Xpulse 210 and Xtreme 250R went on sale just a few days back. The Xoom 160 is believed to reach dealerships in the coming months with bookings starting shortly.
