The fully-faired sportsbike will directly rival Suzuki Gixxer SF 250, KTM RC 200 and the upcoming Yamaha R2 in the Indian market
Recently, Hero MotoCorp announced that it will introduce new premium motorcycles in the Indian market. We were the first one to report that the Karizma XMR 250 will be the first premium motorcycle from Hero to go on sale in our country. Now, the same has been almost confirmed as the fully-faired sportsbike has been spotted undisguised at a company dealership, hinting that the market launch is imminent. Just so you know, Hero Karizma XMR 250 had its global premiere at the EICMA 2024 while it was showcased to the public in India at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Global Expo in January.
First things first, the spy images show the production-ready model in a dual-tone red and black paint scheme. It is identical to the unit unveiled at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Global Expo in New Delhi with similar supersport styling and full fairing. We can also see alloy wheels and road-biased tyres which make it pretty clear that the Karizma XMR 250 is all set to be launched in the coming weeks.
Some of the striking features onboard the quarter-litre motorcycle are split LED headlamps, clip-on handlebars, TFT instrument console, slipper and assist clutch, dual-channel ABS, and integrated winglets. Sitting on a trellis frame, it boasts of golden-coloured USD front forks and preload-adjustable rear monoshock absorbers as standard suspension setup.

At the heart, it has the 250cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled petrol engine which generates top power of 29.6 bhp and peak torque of 25 Nm while paired to a 6-speed transmission. This engine has been developed out of the existing 210cc engine of the Karizma XMR 210. Hero Karizma XMR 250 will directly rival Suzuki Gixxer SF 250, KTM RC 200 and the upcoming Yamaha R2 in the Indian market.
Hero is likely to offer advance connectivity features in the Karizma XMR 250 in the form of Intelligent Automatic Illumination and Hero Connect 2.0. with over 35 connectivity features, including turn-by-turn navigation and music control. Needless to mention, the sportsbike will be sold via the Premia network of premium dealerships in our country.

Apart from the Karizma XMR 250, Hero will introduce several more premium motorcycles by March 2027 in India. The upcoming Hero bikes in the Indian market will also include Xpulse 421 which was recently spotted in Ladakh during its cold-weather high-altitude testing by the riders of Hero Motorsports team. It could finally break cover at the EICMA 2026 in Nov.
