Hero Electric, India’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer, has rolled out their new Optima HX with an additional feature – Cruise Control.
Hero says – the cruise control feature on Optima will allow the rider to maintain a constant speed for a comfortable ride and will eliminate inconvenience.
Cruise Control – How Does it Work?
The rider can press the cruise control button to activate the scooter’s cruise function to maintain the desired speed. Once activated, the speedometer will reflect the cruise symbol and it can be deactivated by braking or twisting the throttle.
Hero Electric has also shared information that they are now expanding their existing R&D facilities to manufacture the next generation of Low-speed, City Speed and High-speed vehicles for their consumers.
They are further working to create a robust EV infrastructure in India by expanding their investment in innovative technological inventions. Additionally, they are planning to launch a new tech center with state-of-the-art equipment, expand the R&D team, and recruit new talent for the powertrain development and vehicle design.
They are going to focus on Internet of Things (IoT), energy efficiency, connectivity, and user-interface product verticals through their Hero Electric’s connected vehicle strategy in the coming years.
Hero Optima HX is available in two variants – Single battery and Dual battery configurations. The single battery variant claims a range of 82km while the dual battery variant can travel 122km on a single charge.

Apart from this, both the models are similar – claiming 42km/h top speed, 4-5 hours for full charge, 12″ wheel size, 550W and 1200W motor power, 51.2V battery capacity and 30Ah of battery rating.
Hero Electric Optima HX is available at Rs. 55,580/- onwards (ex-showroom price – after the revised FAME II subsidy) across all their dealerships.
