There always comes a time when the motorcyclist inside you wants to move on to a bigger motorcycle. And what better motorcycle to upgrade to than the mighty Hayabusa.
Hayabusa carried a sticker price tag of Rs 15.95 lakhs ex-showroom, Delhi till now since it was made in Japan and imported into India as a CBU (Completely Built Unit). But there is a good news for all of you eyeing the mothership…!
In an official communication, Suzuki has announced that Hayabusa will be assembled in India (via Completely Knocked Down CKD units). What this means is a direct price slash which is to the tune of Rs 2.4 Lakh on the ex-showroom Delhi price. The CKD Hayabusa now sells for Rs 13,57,135 (ex-showroom Delhi) and the prices are already in effect from this month onwards! Simply put, you can buy a KTM RC390 with the money you save!
For the records, Hayabusa is powered by a liquid cooled 1,340 cc in-line four cylinder mill producing 194.4 bhp of maximum power at 9,500 rpm and 155 Nm of peak torque at 7,200 rpm! This gargantuan output is controlled by Brembo Monobloc front brake callipers. Once the fastest production motorcycle in the world, Hayabusa is still regarded supremely for its sports touring credentials!
The report also adds that the Hayabusa will be assembled at Suzuki’s Manesar facility where a special production line has been reserved for it. Next-Gen Hayabusa is already on rumour borads but for now, the existing Generation motorcycle can kick the ass out of most of its rivals and after the price slash, it becomes an even more attractive preposition! Wowww… thumbs up Suzuki!
