Harley Davidson has brought not just the CVO family to India but also the Touring lineage. The Touring family gets just one motorcycle (though if the trend continues we will soon have many more). The Street Glide Special, giving tribute to the world’s first factory custom motorcycle, can now be yours at an asking price of Rs 29,70,000 ex-showroom, Delhi.
The 1,690 cc high output Twin cam 103 engine produces 138 Nm of peak torque at 3,500 rpm. This 355 kg (dry) is equally efficient as the Softail Breakout and returns a claimed combined fuel efficiency of 17.86 kmpl.
This new model also claims to have a 10 per cent larger speedometer and tachometer with 68 per cent wider numbers and 28 per cent larger fuel and volt gauges with 30 per cent wider numbers. Bored? So read this…
Super Glide comes with a Boom! Box 6.5 GT Radio (same as in the CVO Limited) with the 6.5 inch touch screen display and 5.25 inch speakers integrated and sealed to the seat assembly. So, if, for once, you feel a little bored with the bassy exhaust note, you can add up a few lyrics to it as well!
The bike focuses hard on comfort and has heated vests, heated seats, handle bar grips and lights to showcase the engine to the world out there. All the compartments, including the fuel tank lid, and saddle bags open at the touch of a single button, allowing you to effortlessly store your stuff. Heck, it even gets cruise control, how much more can you pamper yourself?
