Apart from the rear disc brake variants of Gixxer and Gixxer SF, Suzuki also showcased the Fuel Injected Gixxer SF at the 2016 Auto Expo. While they launched the rear disc variants on Friday, there was no trace of SF FI. To find out their plans, we spoke to Mr Suresh Babu, National Head, Marketing and Product Planning Suzuki India, who informed us that they do not have plans to launch Gixxer SF FI anytime soon. He added that it will be launched towards the end of the year.
It appears that Suzuki wants to bring the brand to headlines every few months and hence a gap. Gradually, they are adding up value to the motorcycle, which is already a fantastic package (Read Review).
In an earlier interaction with Mr Babu, we have already learnt (and shared) that SF FI will get a different power output than the carburetted version and at the Expo Suzuki had confirmed that fuel injection will only be introduced in the MotoGP edition livery of the Gixxer SF.

In the financial year 2015-16, Suzuki sold 82,052 units of the Gixxer twins in the domestic market and exported 42,468 units. They have plans to average about 10,000 units in the domestic market every month and considering the offering they are, they should easily achieve that with expansion of sales and service outlets.
