Suzuki has finally launched the rear disc variant of their 155 cc naked Gixxer and faired Gixxer SF at Rs 79,726 and Rs 87,343 (both ex-showroom, Delhi). They say that the aim is to make the bikes stable and controllable in all kinds of terrains. Suzuki says that this additional feature was brought in based on customer demand.
Apart from this, they also marked the event as the Gixxer Day, celebrating the spirit of riding with their customers. To take things to the next level, they even brought in internationally acclaimed freestyle rider Aras Gibieza to thrill the crowd with his scintillating performance. The fanfare will, after this, travel to nine other cities which include Kolkata, Shillong, Hyderabad, Chennai, Kochi, Bangalore, Mumbai and Pune (in order).
Gixxer Rear Disc
The rear disc will be optional in the Gixxer for the following colours:
- Lush Green / Glass Sparkle Black (now only with front & rear disc brakes)
- Metallic Triton Blue / Pearl Mirage White
- Candy Sonoma Red / Glass Sparkle Black
This means the solid colours – Metallic Triton Blue and Glass Sparkle Black are not offered with rear disc brakes.
Gixxer SF Rear Disc
Suzuki is offering the Gixxer SF with rear disc on all its three colours – Pearl Mira Red, Glass Sparkle Black and Metallic Triton Blue.
The MotoGP edition with the rear disc will carry a price tag of Rs 88,857 (ex-showroom, Delhi). It also gets new decalc. One interesting thing to note is that while the front disc gets a Bybre set up, the rear is a Nissin. We asked Suzuki about it and they say Nissin offered them a quicker turnaround time and hence they chose to go with it.
