Yesterday, we brought you news about Piaggio gearing up to launch another gearless scooter in the Indian market in the price range of Rs. 50,000 to Rs. 55,000. Today, it has come to highlight that Piaggio has slashed the prices of its premium gearless scooter, the Vespa LX125 on account of the festive season by about Rs. 6500. The standard Vespa LX125 was available for Rs. 74,490 (ex-showroom, Pune), now for the festive season, the company has slashed the prices to Rs. 67,983 (ex-showroom, Pune).
Apparently, this offer has been made available from October 4th but there has been no announcement from the company as to the date till when the offer is valid. With a significant reduction in price, the LX125 becomes more desirable now and people who have wanted to buy it should waste no time. For a price of about Rs, 68,000 the Vespa LX125 is a good deal. The Vespa 125 LX is powered by a 125cc engine which produces 10.06 PS of power @ 7500 RPM and 10.06 NM of torque @ 6000 RPM. It rides on coil spring and dual effect shock absorber at the front and rear. Braking is done by 150mm diameter drum at the front and 110mm diameter drum at the back.
