Ather Energy has informed that its flagship electric scooter Ather 450 has received the FAME 2 compliance. To an end customer this simply means that the quantum of subsidy has increased which has resulted in a reduction of the on road price of the scoot.

Under FAME 1, Ather 450 was priced at Rs 1,28,230 after a subsidy of Rs 22,000. However, under the new FAME 2, Ather 450 now gets a subsidy of Rs 27,000 which means that the new on road price of the scooter is Rs 1,23,230 – savings of Rs 5000 flat!
Ather has also informed that they continued with bookings of the scooter in Bangalore in the month of April but deliveries were held off. However, Ather will start delivering all the orders within the next two weeks, passing the subsidy benefit to the new users.
Ather Sold Out Till September; Chennai Launch in June
Ather has already announced the launch of AtherGrid and Ather 450 scooter in Chennai in June. They have plans to be present in 30 cities by 2023 and install 6500 charging stations across the country.
