whats so special about this crap? Looks like any other 100-150 cc craps on the road.

Bike looks good, but specs?? 4 speed gear box looks disappointing. I m afraid it would follow footsteps of Honda Shine also known as a vibrator.

  • Aditya

125 cc, and 4 gears. They should have included 1 extra gear. And whats with the outdated tank cap ? The tail is as flat as it could be. This is the first 125cc mill by TVS. As they had no bike in that segment. So need to see if they got things right. But i wish them luck.

not convinced at all.you cant launch products in isolation.you got to look at what other competitors have to offer in that segment. Glamour, even gladiator is way up in the food chain.TVS is all about cheap bikes at prices except Apache which they recently decided to sabotage to confirm their 4th rank.At the bottom of the pyramid TVS has to go for disruptive innovation to survive this competition.People are ready to pay 60k for Glamour while they still think twice about discover 125 because people look for quality when they invest big amount & go for tried & tested products e.g splendor whose engine has become outdated but still surviving on word of mouth.TVS should work on apache platform to come out with new products for starters.

  • Too simple to compete with more interesting bikes.

Looks like the engine of Flame?

  • Addictya

I think tht this tvs had copied the design from h.p order of phoenix ,as this bike looks like a jhadoooooo….:)

I think tht this time tvs has copied the design from h.p order of phoenix ,as this bike looks like a jhadoooooo….:)

Let me correct some people. TVS already has a bike in 125 CC segment which is TVS flame. It has very good mill 125 cc from an austrian company. but flopped because of 4 gears only. 125 cc needs 5 gears then onl its fun

    — a TVS flame owner. satified with my bike but not mad about iit.

    • crazy guy

Shine is also a 4 gear machine and it got instant Hit, Also Hero ”honda” Glamour has its own place in the market share. So 125 cc with 4 gears is not the cause of flop. Suzuki zeus, heat and sling shot, Yamaha gladiator had 5 gears , eventhough they were big flops. Bajaj has its 125 cc Discover and its a hit.
Anyway TVS flame is of course a better 125 cc bike than Discover 125.

      • Faann

@crazy guy, Please, note that,”Yamaha gladiator had 5 gears , eventhough they were big flops.”i)It’s Yamaha SS125 ii)It’s not a flop. So don’t comment if you don’t have knowledge.

Before the Flame 125, there was the Victor 125cc from TVS. Yes, Flame is a good bike and has engine with 3 valves and has both single and twin spark plug versions.

TVS even won the case against bajaj for twin spark plug use. However, until the case with Bajaj was closed, it afftected marketing of Flame. Also, the design of Flame was boring. Otherwise, the bike and engine is good.

TVS, having gone through what it did with Flame(which is almost non-existent now) will surely have learnt from its mistakes. 125cc bikes are increasingly being used as ‘premium commuters’, so in my view, premium features is what will make this product click, not gears!!!

  • No looks..Not a good power.. 4 gears..
i think this wont help TVS.

    • true

Honda shine 4 gears, Hero Glamour 4 gears, TVS flame has 4 gears, and bajaj Discover has 4 gears.

Actually, 4 gears is really enough for a 125cc bike and it meant for commuting.

Honda Stunner, yamaha Ss125, and Suzuki Slingshot 125cc have 5 gears. Nice to have 5 gears, especially for highway rides, but 5 gears will increase price.

Slingshot seems to be the only reasonably priced 5-gear 125cc, but looks average.

  • Sachin57

Another flame/glamour/gladiator/shine/discover with a “updated body”? No TVS. please No.

  • Actor Vijay

I’m disappointed with the users’ comments… I wish to help TVS as it’s a TAmil Nadu company… So will use this bike in my film “Thupakki”. I’m sure it would be impressive when i ride the bike and my fans will buy this awesome bike…

    • SUPER STAR RAJNI

@ actor vijay …. hahaha hahaha

      • Perarasu

Gilli Tamilan Vijay. If you use this bike, the bike would be hit. You are the next CM of Tamilnadu.

  • look R osm men, in this 125 cc segment and more important milege, becouse today fule price so high so middel class people like this bike very much

  • Reeto

The Bajaj Discover 125 ST will prove to be more than a handful for the TVS Phoenix. Smart buyers will prefer the Discover 125 ST.

  • Phoenix

SS125 a.k.a gladiator a.k.a fazer have a decade old 125 cc mill. It is really a flop. The engine produces grinder like noise.. personal experience.

  • moenuddin

four gears will not sussced tvs they could given 5 speed and engine desine is not good digital is good but like apachi is good tanj does not look good

  • Ravi krishna

good but not very good………………………like honda shine.

  • Omar

This is an honest effort to give something pure and wholesome which has an extremely satisfying and smooth engine unlike some other models in their line up. If the bike manages to put a smile on the face of the rider you can conclude that the bike is a success. Looks are short lived. Quality and good feel are what really lingers. We hope that people put their trust in the Phoenix.

TVS PHOENIX looks like TVS STAR CITY.. whats the difference is it comes with BULLS EYE PILOT LIGHT, DISC BRAKE, STYLISH, DIGITAL SYSTEM IS GOOD.. TVS SHOULD CONCENTRATE MORE IN DESIGN AND LOOKS AND SHOULD SHOW A DIFFERENT VARIETY FOR TAMIL NADU RIDERS.. SHOULD GIVE US ECONOMIC MILEAGE ALSO.. PLS RELEASE A 5 GEAR BIKE WITH AWESOME STYLE SOON IN NEXT YEAR… THANK YOU!
