At the backdrop of the grand Dakar off-road rally, Hero chose to launch the 2017 Glamour in Argentina. And in an update, they have already started selling it in India.
One of our avid reader Vicky Kaushal has shared pics of the new Glamour from a dealership in Assam. He also says that sales have commenced and he has already spotted a few motorcycles on the roads. According to Vicky, the on road price of Glamour is about Rs 2000 more than the older Glamour (which is also visible in few pics here).
Hero has also updated its website with the details of the new Glamour. It is available in four dual colour options – Black with techno blue, black with sports red, candy blazing red and black with tornado grey metallic. Pictured on this page is the ‘Black with sports red’ colour.
The 2017 Glamour is more contemporary in looks and produces 11.4 bhp of peak power at 7500 rpm and 11 Nm of max torque at 6500 rpm. Compare that with 9.1 PS and 10.35 Nm of the older Glamour. Probably for the first time, Hero has also released the 0 to 60 kmph timings of Glamour (6.03 seconds).
The motorcycle also comes with i3s technology and AHO (always on headlamps). Hero has also claimed a 3 percent fuel efficiency increment in the carbureted variant (and 7 percent in the fuel injected model). With this, we await an official confirmation from Hero on the prices…
