Chetak’s Launch Tomorrow; Bajaj’s First All-Electric 2-Wheeler

Chetak launch will give India its first mass-market electric two-wheeler which has the potential of widest sales and service reach.

Electric vehicles are the future! Our government has made it absolutely clear that India should move and prepare itself in this direction. After initial resistance, makers are now pushing themselves to venture into this realm.

After interesting two-wheelers from Revolt and Ather, mainstream maker Bajaj Auto has set foot with the re-entry of its immensely popular Chetak brand. The new Chetak scooter is an all-electric two-wheeler which has created quite a significant stir in the market.

Earlier this month, Bajaj rolled out invites for what it describes as ‘Invite – Bajaj Auto Media meet on EV Chetak on 14th January 2020‘. This has to be the official launch date of the all-important scooter. Bajaj has already conducted 2-3 events recently for Chetak. Tomorrow, Bajaj should be announcing its price tag.

Chetak Launch

Rajiv Bajaj has hinted that Chetak’s price will not be aggressive but it will be attractive. This makes us believe that it should fall in the price range of Rs 1.0-1.20 Lakh.

Chetak’s deliveries are slated to commence from this month itself and it will be sold via KTM showrooms. First up, it will be retailed in Pune, followed by Bangalore and probably other metro cities.
