Apache 310 Rival CFMoto 300SR India Launch This Year [Speculation]

CFMoto 300SR India launch will give us more options in this burgeoning 300cc space that has recently seen the re-entry of the Ninja 300…

Chinese motorcycle maker CFMoto was absent from the Indian biking scene in the year 2020 since it did not have Bharat Stage 6 compliant motorcycles to sell here. However, it is back and the first motorcycle that it has announced is the 300NK streetfighter that has very recently been launched at the same prices as the BS4 trim.

Next up, CFMoto is working on a host of motorcycles for our market that may also include the impeccably priced 650s that were here in the BS4 era. But one motorcycle that has caught everybody’s attention is the 300SR that is sold in a few international markets. That, according to a speculative media report, is an India launch candidate for this year itself. It may be introduced in the third quarter of this fiscal which means we may be looking at a timeframe of October 2021 and December 2021.

The 300SR is the full faired sibling of the 300NK and shares the basic platform. The beautiful looking entry sports motorcycle is powered by the same 292cc, single cylinder, liquid cooled, fuel injected, DOHC engine that is good for 29.10 PS of peak power and 25.3 Nm of max torque.

Interesting features include upside down front forks, ride modes (sports and eco), slipper clutch, radial tyres, split LED headlamps, colored instrumentation, etc.

The model, which is already on sale in Vietnam, Malaysia, etc, may cost around Rs 2.50 Lakh as per the report. This will keep it bang against stronger rivals like TVS Apache 310, KTM RC390 etc. Do you think this will add to your options in this space…?
