Suzuki grabbed a lot of headlines recently when it teased ‘a superior way to ride’ recently. Today, the company finally revealed its Bluetooth-enabled digital console, in-line with our revelations yesterday.
In the process, the company also announced updates to two of its popular 125 cc scooters – Access 125 and Burgman Street 125, with which the technology will make its debut. In
As a part of the update, the Burgman also gets many new features into its smart speedo-console. The scooter can now be connected with your smartphone using Bluetooth.
This allows the scooter to show its rider a lot of additional information, including calls and SMS alerts, turn-by-turn navigation, missed call alert, WhatsApp alert, caller ID, phone battery level information, overspeeding warning, etc. It is apart from the usual information, including the display of speed and odometer.
To use the features, you will have to download the ‘Suzuki Ride Connect’ app from the Google Play Store and pair the smartphone with the scooter. According to the company, the connectivity feature is currently available only for Android users, and the support for iOS will soon be added.

Apart from this, the maxi-scooter remains the same cosmetically and mechanically. However, it is now available in a new color option – ‘Matte Blue’.

The Burgman Street 125 continues with its BS6 compliant, 124 cc, fuel-injected engine that produces 8.7 PS at 6,750 rpm coupled with 10 Nm torque at 5,500 rpm. Suzuki has priced the new updated Burgman at Rs 84,600 (ex-showroom, Delhi) which is a premium of Rs 3500 over the conventional console of the base variant.
