BSA Gold Star launch date for India has been revealed by the company officially. The big single cylinder classic resurrection is finally coming…
Mahindra owned Classic Legends is getting aggressive in the market. It has three iconic brands under its belt – Jawa, Yezdi and BSA. While Jawa and Yezdi play in the more affordable segment, BSA (which stands for Birmingham Small Arms Company) will be projected as a more premium brand.
It must be noted that Classic Legends is already making BSA motorcycles in India and shipping it to international markets. Initially, BSA’s entry into our market was always doubtful, however, in a latest teaser, the company has probably confirmed that the legendary brand will officially make its commercial way into India, and the date is 15th August!
The teaser shared by the company shows the big single cylinder engine along with the date of launch. BSA will debut with its most popular moniker Gold Star in India. The new age Gold Star comes with a large 652cc, liquid cooled, single cylinder engine. It pumps out 45 bhp of peak power at 6500 rpm and 55 Nm of max torque at 4000 rpm. Power is distributed via a 5-speed gearbox.

In the UK the Gold Star is priced at around £6500 which is roughly equal to 6.90 Lakh in INR. Obviously, since it is made here, it won’t cost that high. We will do a different story on the estimated price tag of the motorcycle.
But what is certain is that Classic Legends is throwing its last ace it has in its sleeves and if this also does not work, it will be a big setback for the company. And for the Gold Star to work, it has be priced well.
